Ambrosia chenopodiifolia, also known as San Diego Bursage or San Diego Bur Ragweed, is a thickly branching shrub native to the coastal sage scrub habitats of Baja California and Southern California, including San Diego and Orange Counties. This hardy shrub can grow over 3 meters tall, featuring oval-shaped, white-haired leaves up to 3 cm long, sometimes with lobed edges. Its spiny inflorescences produce spherical, woolly burs covered in hooked spines, characteristic of the ragweed family.
