Bolboschoenus maritimus, commonly known as Alkali Bulrush, Sea Clubrush, or Saltmarsh Bulrush, is a perennial wetland plant in the sedge family (Cyperaceae). This hardy species thrives in coastal and inland wetlands, including salt marshes, brackish waters, and alkaline soils. It features tall, upright stems with narrow, grass-like leaves and produces small, brown flowering clusters during the growing season. Found globally, it plays a key role in stabilizing wetland soils and supporting wildlife.
