Cercis occidentalis, commonly known as the Western Redbud Tree, is a deciduous tree native to the western regions of North America. This small to medium-sized tree showcases heart-shaped leaves that emerge in a vibrant shade of green, turning golden yellow in the fall. In early spring, before the leaves appear, the tree bursts into a profusion of magenta to purple-pink blossoms that cover its branches.
