Frankenia salina, commonly known as Alkali Heath or Alkali Seaheath, is a perennial herb native to California, Nevada, Mexico, and Chile. This compact, twiggy shrub thrives in alkaline soils near beaches and coastal salt marshes. As a halophyte, it has adapted to saline environments by excreting excess salt. It features vibrant pink to fuchsia flowers that bloom throughout the growing season.
