This drought-tolerant plant thrives in chaparral, coastal sage scrub, and desert habitats. It features sprawling stems with small, oval leaves and produces vibrant magenta to lavender, trumpet-shaped flowers that bloom from late winter to spring, often opening in the late afternoon or evening.
