Pluchea odorata (Salt Marsh Fleabane)
Coast, Foothill, Mountain, Desert/Transition
Pluchea sericea, commonly known as Arrowweed, is a fast-growing, perennial shrub native to desert riparian habitats in the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. This hardy plant grows up to 12 feet tall, with slender, upright stems covered in soft, silvery-green leaves. During late spring and summer, it produces clusters of small, lavender-pink flowers that attract pollinators like bees and butterflies. Arrowweed thrives in wet or saline soils and is a common sight along streams, riverbanks, and marshes.
