Rhus integrifolia, commonly known as Lemonade Berry, is a native evergreen shrub or small tree found along the coastal regions of California and Baja California. It features glossy, dark green leaves with a slightly serrated edge and produces clusters of small, pale pink to white flowers in spring. These flowers give way to round, reddish fruits that were historically used to make a refreshing lemonade-like drink.

Lemonade Berry is well-adapted to coastal conditions and is often found in chaparral and coastal sage scrub habitats. Its drought tolerance and ability to withstand salty and windy environments make it a valuable plant for coastal gardens, native plant landscapes, or erosion control on slopes. In addition to its ornamental qualities, Lemonade Berry also supports wildlife by providing food and habitat for birds and other animals.
