Salicornia pacifica, commonly known as Pacific Pickleweed, is a low-growing, succulent perennial native to salt marshes and coastal wetlands along the Pacific Coast. This halophyte thrives in saline environments, forming dense mats of fleshy, segmented stems that range in color from green to reddish hues, especially in the fall. Pacific Pickleweed plays a critical role in stabilizing marsh soils and supporting coastal ecosystems.
