Eleocharis macrostachya, commonly known as Pale Spikerush, is a perennial sedge native to wetlands, marshes, and riparian areas throughout North America. This slender, upright plant grows in dense clumps, reaching heights of 1–3 feet, with smooth, green stems that add vertical interest to wetland environments.
